BETTER LISTENING OUTCOMES
In this classroom-rooted session, we’ll be looking at the things that makes good listeners good: knowing language, hearing the language you know, and the ability to automatically match meaning to sounds. We’ll explore practical examples of how we can develop these skills through our choice of input, through micro-listening tasks, and much more.
Bio:
Hugh Dellar is the co-founder of the online school and training company www.lexicallab.com. He has co-authored two multi-level General English series, Outcomes and Innovations, both of which are published by National Geographic Learning, and his first methodology book, Teaching Lexically, came out in 2016. Most recently, he worked on Grammar Nonsense . . . and what to do about it, published by Wayzgoose Press.
