I started teaching English when I moved to Berlin in 2000. Most of my work now is in developing materials for teachers and learners of English. This involves writing books and producing CDs and (soon) videos for the Cornelsen Verlag. I also do classroom observation for a very good language instruction service called All On Board. I also do voice over work, G-E translation, and book editing.
Outside of work, my current interests include writing my fiction story, learning French, trying out the teachings of Abraham-Hicks, yoga, and “Fitness”, as we are fond of saying here in Germany. 🙂 I am also active in the MeRSI group of Amnesty International.
I want to say that joining ELTABB was one of the best things I ever did for my career. Whenever I take the time to attend an event, I meet really lovely people who are so intelligent and so willing to share their knowledge. The workshops have been a major part of my professional training–they are often outstanding in quality. The online Yahoo Group forum has been wonderful, and now we are very lucky to have this top-quality website (Thanks, Ed!).
