While teaching for exams inevitably involves the practicing of listening and speaking strategies, the developing of said strategies can be comparatively underdone.
In this interactive workshop, we’ll look at how progressing these strategies can raise both our students’ exam performance and their potential to be autonomous learners. Teachers will go away with plenty of practical ideas for their listening and speaking exam classes, both in terms of sub-skills and exam technique.
Speaker bio
Greg Wagstaff is a freelance teacher trainer based in Seville, Spain, where he works for Cambridge University Press and Cambridge Assessment. He also works for the YouTube channel ‘Learn English with Cambridge’, scripting, editing, and starring in videos for English language learners. Greg’s practical talks are full of innovative tips and activities that can be implemented in class straight away. Coupled with a vibrant and lively presenting style, he always aims to connect with teachers on both a personal and professional level.
