I am a freelance teacher for young learners and business English in Berlin / Brandenburg close to Adlershof and Schönefeld Airport. I hold an M.A. in English Language Teaching, a B.A. in Business and German and the RSA Cambridge CELTA. Originally from the United States, my work experience includes several years in import/export for an international air freight forwarder in Miami and Düsseldorf before starting my teaching career in Geneva, Switzerland and nearby France. As a long-time member of IATEFL and its special interest groups for business English and young learners, BESIG and YLTSIG, as well as ELTABB, I have been dedicated to the teaching profession since the mid 1990s. I stepped down from the ELTABB board in March after volunteering as events coordinator for the past three years, responsible for inviting internationally-renowned speakers within the ELT profession to Berlin, organizing numerous workshops and a number of social events. As a former competitive swimmer, I’m looking forward to having more time to spend boating and swimming in nearby lakes this summer.
