We realize this notice is very last-minute, and we apologize for any inconvenience this causes to your plans. Our zines will have to wait just a bit longer. We’re prioritizing our speaker’s well-being right now and look forward to folding and stapling with you all once she’s better.

Zines integrate writing, image-making, collage, and design into a flexible format that allows students to engage critically and creatively with language. In this workshop, we will explore ways to apply zine methodologies in the classroom before moving into a hands-on zine-making session. These methods are versatile, allowing educators across educational levels and settings to integrate zines into their teaching. All basic materials will be provided for the session, but participants are warmly encouraged to bring any arts and crafts supplies (magazine clippings, papers, markers, etc.) they would like to use to make their zines unique.
