Matthew Camp

My name is Matthew, I am a native English speaker from Texas, USA. I hold a bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science as well as a certification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). As a teacher, I am passionate about the English language and prefer to use culture, such as film and literature as a pedagogical tool. Accordingly, I prefer a natural and communicative teaching method that emphasizes fluency over grammatical faultlessness. My professional background includes labor and community organizing, where I developed my abilities in spoken and written communication and public presentation as well as my motivational skills. As an organizer, I enjoyed bonding with people and building lasting professional networks and personal friendships. Some of my other professional experiences include journalism, education, and the arts. I am fascinated by history and cultural criticism. Some of my personal hobbies include running, cycling, drawing, and visiting museums. Please contact me at
